Yido grabbed Keu'deh's shoulders and pushed him away, the drow's eyes opening in surprise.
"What are you doing!?" Yido all but yelped the question in panic, making Keu'deh's ears drop.
"What you told me to do!!" His voice was defensive, and confused, but not nearly as confused as Yido, who snatched his hands away from the drow and stared at him, speechless. Keu'deh's surprise melted quickly, replaced by a mildly disgruntled face.
"You told me to 'be confident, and take a chance...'" Yido blinked hard, that wasn't exactly what he'd meant... His face softened quickly when Kue'deh dropped his eyes, rubbing his arm self-consciously.
"What bigger chance than to want someone who doesn't want you?" His question sounded rhetorical, making Yido smile as he reached for the drow again.
'Aniphia's going to kill me...' The thought crossed his mind as his fingers brushed Keu'deh's cheek. '...it's worth it...' After all, how could he tell the young drow to take a chance if he wasn't willing to do the same?
