"NO! LET ME GO!" Keu'deh struggled vainly against the arms clutching him, crying angrily in Drow, pulling an amused giggle from his assailant.
"Hehe, still so feisty! I'm glad!" He froze as she bit his ear gently, the sound of her voice sending alternating waves of panic and relief through his body.
"T-ty'lani!?"
"mm-hm!" She smiled at him while she chewed on his ear, making him flush slightly. Her voice had matured since he'd last seen her, and sounded just like her mother's had, cold and lyrical.
"W-what are..." He was having trouble concentrating, she was clutching him close enough that he could feel that her voice wasn't the only thing that had matured. "I..." Panic was slowly draining out of him, replaced with a mild irritation.
"Ty'lani..." He twisted his head to look over his shoulder at her. "I don't suppose you could stop gnawing on my ear so I can take you seriously as a threat?" He knew she was doing it on purpose to relax him, she knew better than most how he'd react to it, but she was also making him very uncomfortable.
"hmm-nnh!" He couldn't resist glaring at her cheerful disregard.
