/"It's okay, thanks anyway."\ Yido watched quietly as the human walked away from him, yet another person who'd not seen Keu'deh. He wasn't surprised, the streets had so many people traveling on them, Keu'deh's slight form would be easy to miss, especially if he'd been moving quickly. To make matters worse, Drow were apparently not uncommon in this city, making Keu'deh even less memorable to the residents.
"Yido!" Aniphia's strode up behind him, her cheerful voice deepening the dread in his heart. "Where's Keu'deh? I found this shop-"
"I don't know." He didn't really mean to cut her off, but his soft response made her stop, staring at the back of his head.
"...What?" Aniphia wasn't sure if she was angry or confused and it came through in her voice.
"I'm..." He stared at the ground in front of him, going over his options. "I..." He reached up and rubbed his forehead in frustration.
"Look... Can we just skip to you hitting me and calling me and idiot so I can go back to trying to fix my mistake?" He didn't really want to tell her the specifics. He'd been separated from Keu'deh long enough to have started worrying about him and didn't really feel like wasting the time explaining the situation when he knew what the outcome would be. Aniphia stared at him for a moment, part of her wanting to do exactly as he asked since he probably deserved it, and part of her telling her that he'd beaten himself up enough about whatever he'd done. Her kinder nature won the fight in the end and she took a small step closer to him.
"Can I just help look for him?" Yido sighed softly, glad for the lack of physical pain at the moment, but figuring it was just delaying the inevitable, she was bound to hit him when she found out eventually.
"...Yeah..." She was bound to be more helpful when she wasn't mad at him at the same time...
