"I'm not discussing it..." Yido had caught up with Aniphia just past the gate, arguing softly with her until she cut him off and turned away as Keu'deh neared them, leaving Yido sulking at her retreating form.
"Fine." He had good reason to be upset, and thought she should tell Keu'deh what she'd decided, but she didn't seem to think it was as critical as he did, leaving him sullen and bitter.
"Sorry, I was saying goodbye to Loka." Keu'deh's cheer only served to deepen Yido's dark mood.
"I didn't know you spoke ogre." Keu'deh stopped and glared at him, his good mood rapidly vanishing.
"I don't. Loka's a half-orc. We were speaking Undercommon... She-" Yido cut him off with a dismissive wave.
"I'm so sorry. I'm still amazed the beast can form more than grunts."
"Yeah... It's amazing what a slave can be taught to do..." Yido glared darkly into the crowd, refusing to meet Keu'deh's glare, which was rapidly approaching something near hate. After a long silent moment, the sound of Keu'deh moving away from him got him to glance over his shoulder. He swiftly lost Keu'deh's small form in the crowd, making him shift his angry mood at himself.
"Great. Now he's wandering the city, alone." He glared at the traffic around him for a moment, the knowledge of this situation being his fault hitting him solidly. "Aniphia's going to kill me."
