A bored clerk met then outside the gates while the guards loosely collected behind her chatted idly amongst themselves. A quick glance of the trio lead the clerk to direct her queries to Aniphia, Yido was busy glaring sullenly at the half-orc behind them that Keu'deh was happily talking to in a language Yido couldn't understand.
/"Names and occupations."\
/"Aniphia and Yido Liadon... "\ She paused while the clerk wrote, she'd never actually had to define herself to someone before. /"Sorceress and cleric... Currently freelance."\ The clerk nodded absently while she wrote, glancing up at Keu'deh briefly.
/"And the dark one?"\ Aniphia was quiet for a moment, beyond the woman's total disregard for his race, she wasn't sure how she should label him.
/"......Keu'deh Liadon..."\ Her mind grasped an idea she'd been mulling over for a few days and voiced it. /"My son.\" Yido's ears flicked up and he turned his gaze to his sister, his question plain on his face.
/"Oh. And he's currently unemployed."\ Aniphia wasn't sure how to classify Keu'deh's abilities clearly yet, and since he was still unpredictable with them, she figured her choice was as close to the truth as she could get. Yido however was still stuck of her former decision, and made the mistake of opening his mouth.
/"Si-"\ Aniphia twirled her staff and struck Yido squarely in the forehead with it, making him stagger back a step, voicing a indignant cry of pain. Keu'deh ducked out of the way to keep from being knocked over, accepting the arm offered by the half-orc for balance. The clerk blinked at Aniphia and then smiled brightly.
/"Thank you! That's all I need!"\ She wasn't paid to care, she was paid to take names. Aniphia returned her smile and thanked her before moving through the gate, leaving Yido and Keu'deh to catch up.
