Aniphia and Yido had met him in the main room, already wearing their cloaks and ready to leave. Meia bustled about, chatting casually with everyone in shared languages, separating Keu'deh from the High Elves by language. Her husband handed Keu'deh a new cloak that matched his outfit and scooped Iya up, steering everyone out the door and walking with them to the edge of town. He ruffled Keu'deh's hair gently, getting a strange look from Meia, who moved forward and smoothed his hair back out. She said her goodbyes to him in Druidic, leading her family away after his response, leaving him with the siblings.

"So what are our choices?" Aniphia switched to Dwarven as soon as Meia walked away. Yido tapped his mouth thoughtfully, looking down the road from them and thinking.

"Look like..." He'd asked Meia's husband earlier what lay ahead. "Ocean, desert, or mountains, pretty much..." Keu'deh looked at him curiously.

"What's a desert?" Yido smiled at him and moved past Aniphia, reaching out for Keu'deh.

"Hot, dry and miserable."

"Oh..." Keu'deh smiled at Yido's fingers brushing his cheek. "Can we go to the ocean then?" He'd never seen one and was curious.

"Sure." Yido pulled Keu'deh towards him gently, making Aniphia blush with embarrassment.

"um..." She turned her face away, her ears down. "Keu'deh, I'm... sorry about last night. I... just..." His open acceptance of Yido's actions had really underlined what Yido had tried to explain to her the night before.

"It's okay. It seems like not thinking runs in your family." Yido laughed into Keu'deh's hair, not missing the reference to his own actions before. He kissed Keu'deh's forehead, glad that Drow didn't seem upset by the night before. Keu'deh couldn't help but laugh at the novelty of the simple display of affection, delighting in its passiveness.
