Aniphia called Keu'deh in from the small garden behind Meia's home and placed her hand on his cheek, receiving a smile and his full attention.
"We're going shopping for dinner. " Meia had given her this idea, and after a bit of explaining, Aniphia had welcomed it. "Watch the house while Iya naps."
"Okay." Meia'd pulled him aside shortly after Iya had fallen asleep and spoke to him briefly in the same babble her daughter had used. He'd been startled to understand her, and she'd refused to tell Aniphia what she'd told him, and he'd gone into the garden to think. But he didn't seem afraid to be left alone in the house, and that was good enough for Aniphia.
As she left with Meia, Yido was parting company with the halfling tailor, bundle in hand, deciding to roam the market area before seeking Aniphia out. Meia spotted him first and when on ahead once the siblings spotted one another.
"Aniphia!" He sounded genuinely surprised to see her, making her laugh.
"Yido!" She mimicked his tone and he chuckled.
"Your clothes!" He laughed at having to point out the object of his surprise, leave it to Aniphia to forget what she was wearing.
"Oh!" She had forgotten. She took a step back and turned once to allow him a full view of her. "Like the outfit Meia gave me?" He looked at her critically for a moment, it was a serious change from her usual demure dress, but it looked good on her and he was pleased that she was taking some pride in her appearance. He gave her a toothy smile and made a gesture he'd seen a human make earlier.
