"Also... I..." Keu'deh stared at the road in front of him, his mind tumbling with broken ideas and fractured memories.
"Keu'deh?" Aniphia's soft voice brought his mind to land on a single thought and he seized it.
"Well... In a year living free... It's been painfully clear I'll die on my own..." He hesitated, wondering how they would react to the idea. "Pretty quick." He reached behind him and grabbed his hood, trying not to think of the events of the year past. None had been pleasant, and it was depressing to know how defenseless he was.
"And seeing how I couldn't possibly find better, not to mention the issue it'll solve trying to explain why I'm with you..." He paused, he didn't really want to say it flat out. "I owe you for saving me anyway......" Aniphia sighed ever so softly.
"I... understand." She wished she didn't. Yido hadn't figured it out yet and was staring at her questioningly as a single tear crept down her face. "Are you sure... this is what you want?" What he wanted? He squeezed his eyes shut to stop his own tears, grateful of the hood hiding him from their view.
".........It's what I know...... Mistress..." He bit his lip at his words. Aniphia reached up to wipe her tear away while Yido's face switched from questioning to confusion, working it's way towards surprise.
"......Very well..." Yido's mouth dropped open, staring at Keu'deh's hood.
"...Wait... what?" Keu'deh wasn't sure if he was talking to him or Aniphia, but he answered anyway.
"It's easier this way..." He didn't see the dark cloud make it's way onto Yido's face.
