Keu'deh grasped the shoulders of the bleeding dark elf, careful not to jostle him to much. The bleeding drow opened his eyes to meet Keu'deh frightened gaze and a slow, pained smile crept onto his face.
"Keu'deh..." His smile broadened at the tears slowly welling in Keu'deh's eyes. "You're... alive..." Keu'deh stared at him, watching the blood leak out from under his fingers, staining his pants and Aniphia's dress.
"Kaho, no... you can't die!" Kaho's smile widened further.
"Heh... bet... I... can..." He wasn't in much pain at this point, and somehow the whole situation was amusing to him, he figured he was probably delirious from the blood loss.
"No! Yido-" Keu'deh glanced behind him at the elf who'd so recently healed his own wounds, to find him watching them sadly, a stern older elf standing at his side and all but glaring at the two dark elves. Keu'deh's ears dropped sadly and he turned back to face Kaho, who voiced what he'd just figured out on his own.
"No... they won't... let him..." Kaho's smile faded slightly at Keu'deh's tears.
"But..." Keu'deh stopped, tears leaking slowly down his cheeks.
"Keu'deh..." He paused until their eyes met again, wanting them to be looking at each other. "I love you......" A single tear rolled down his cheek as Keu'deh's fell freely.
"Kaho?" Keu'deh watched as the light faded from his crimson eyes and they slid shut. "Kaho! Ka... no... please..." He choked on a sob and kissed the unresponsive drow, whispering against his motionless lips.
